All Time European Cup 1/4 Finalists

With one week to go until the UEFA Champions League quarter finals, here is another chance to look at all the previous quarter finalists. 

We have some cracking ties to look forward to. Real Madrid vs Galatasaray, Barcelona vs Paris St-Germain, Malaga vs Borussia Dortmund and the stand out Bayern Munich vs Juventus. Send us your predictions on who will qualify from these fixtures and take their place in the Semi Finals. 

In the meantime here is some interesting European Cup / Champions League quarter finals stats. 

Real Madrid have featured at this stage more than any other club, an incredible 29 1/4s appearances in the 58 seasons of the trophy. 

Spanish teams also hold the record of most appearances by a country, including this year’s 3 teams, it will be the 64th time a Spanish team has played in the quarter finals of the European Cup. 

England are second on 58, with Germany (inc West & East) on 57, Italy are further back with 48. Bayern Munich are making their 24th quarter final appearance against Juventus’ 13th. It will be the 16th time Barcelona play at this stage while Malaga make their quarter final debut.
